This is a
2-on-1 trophy deer hunt.
Sometimes you
simply don't want a guide around all the time. Perhaps you would
like to hunt alone with your buddy or your son, or maybe have your guide
assist you for a hunting session, then
take care of your friend for the next one. This 2-on-1
package gives you the flexibility to do just that. This is not a "management hunt" for culls. We want you to take
the best trophy whitetail possible!
On Day 1, you
will arrive at the 74 Ranch for lunch and get settled into your
private room. Your guide will then escort you to the rifle range
to check your rifle. (It is always best to arrive sighted in, in
case the weather is too wet or windy to do so. A 30-caliber and
up is recommended for South Texas deer). After your trip to the
rifle range, you will be ready to hunt until dark. Dinner is served
about an hour after sundown. On Day 2, you will awaken early for
a full breakfast and head for the deer blind. You can come in for
lunch or stay out hunting until dinner. On Day 3, you will hunt in the morning,
then return to the lodge for lunch, and prepare for your departure.
